Active Hope to resume in 2024

Active Hope is a creative response to the Climate and Ecological Crisis.

Do you want to make a positive difference to what is happening on our planet, but sometimes feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenges we face? ‘Active Hope’ is a 6-week course that offers a safe space to explore our feelings and values, develop resilience, identify actions we can take, and connect with others who have similar concerns. The course is based on the book by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone: ‘Active Hope – how to face the mess we’re in with unexpected resilience and creative power’ (revised edition 2022). It takes us through the four stages of the spiral of the Work that Reconnects.

The course is facilitated by Jenny Wilks and Mike Green from Inner Transition. It will take place at the Climate Hub, in the Mansion, Totnes on Wednesday evenings, 6.30pm – 8.30pm (with a break on Feb 14 for half-term): Jan 10 - Jan 17 - Jan 24 - Jan 31 - Feb 7 - Feb 21

Booking is essential as spaces are limited. We encourage you to commit to the whole course, as each session builds on previous ones.

There will also be an invitation to connect with others in between meetings.

Donations will be requested to cover expenses and to support the Climate Hub. To apply, or to find out more, please email Jenny at ActiveHope@icloud.com and include a few sentences about why you are drawn to the course at this time.
