Meet at the Elm Walk car park by the playing field, just off Elm walk.
Trees
Come and enjoy the fruits of the harvest!
We will be meeting at 2pm at the Elmhirst Playing Field (top of Chicken Run in Bridgetown) for a harvesting session. Please bring your own kit (baskets, bags, wheelbarrow, secateurs etc). The plan is to harvest fruit and nuts from trees throughout Bridgetown, before coming together at 3pm at Meadow Park playground (Parkers Way), for tea and snacks (BYO) and to share out the produce to take home.
This is a free, family friendly event but does involve tools, so please don't bring very young children unless you are happy to supervise them at all times.
If you have questions, please email Patti - sumaussie at hotmail.com
Come along and help create a compass rose with reclaimed wood, hand painted by you - a legacy for this lovely community forest garden. All welcome!
This is a family-friendly event with children's activities. No experience needed.
There will be a picnic at 1pm - please bring something to share.
Any questions, email contact at monakastell.com or call 07765 696829
This free event is being held in partnership with the Network of Wellbeing.
A family day with fun for all, 11am-3pm, including a bench-making workshop for a community bench in the arboretum, story-telling and tree care, and a chance to enjoy the beauty and peace of the arboretum in spring.
Gather by the gazebo at 11am and, for those coming late, find us by the edibles nursery at the north-west corner of the arboretum. Please bring food and drink to share at a picnic lunch.
Try your hand at bench-making under the expert guidance of Eddie Church, have fun, and leave your permanent mark in the Follaton arboretum for many to enjoy for years to come. This activity is suitable for teenagers and adults. Limited places, so book early.
For others coming to enjoy the other events of the day, booking is not essential but is appreciated, and the day is suitable for old and young!
