The Local Entrepreneur Forum is only a few weeks away and we could really use your help. We have some amazing people who will be pitching for support (deadline for expressions of interest is Thursday August 5th).
We have an amazing venue for September 5th at The Glade, the forest space provided by The Woodland Presents, Dartington. Our founder, Rob Hopkins, describes the LEF as; "One of the top ten innovations that have come from Transition". It sits right at the core of our work - conviviality, reciprocity, solidarity. Relocalising our economic system, creating meaningful livelihoods, and creating alternatives to business as usual - this is part of how we remake our world. Take a look at these short films to find out what it has meant for those who have pitched at the LEF and have been embraced by their community.
Coming out of lockdown, our community needs a lift and a tangible step toward economic resilience. This year's event at The Glade, will be inspiring, hopeful, and solutionary.
Here's what you can do:
- Come to The Glade on September 5th. Ride your bike, walk, take the bus, carpool, or otherwise magically transport yourself.
- Bring your friends and neighbours - it's about solidarity, reciprocity, and rallying together as a community to support the kind of economy and enterprises we want to see. Please mobilise your friends, colleagues, and networks to come and be ready to participate as the lovely community of dragons. Connect with us via our Facebook and twitter.
- Support the community enterprises on the day with your time, skills, knowledge, friendship, love and hugs!
