Grown In Totnes Toolkit: Participatory Workshop
November 24 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Grown in Totnes was a highly innovative project run by Transition Town Totnes which sought to increase the amount of locally grown grain products available to buy in our local area (Totnes, Devon). The project involved working with local farmers to grow organic wheat and oats, before processing in our own mill and distributing to local retailers.
The project has come to an end but we want to share our learning with people interested in local grain production.
We have created a web-based resource for the small-scale crop community documenting the learnings, challenges and successes encountered along the Grown in Totnes journey. You can view the Toolkit at www.grownintotnestoolkit.co.uk
This event is a workshop on the Toolkit, designed for potential users. The focus will be on how to use the Toolkit and what you can find within it. The workshop is designed to equip you with the skills to use it effectively in order to find the answers to questions you may have, and to navigate easefully around the website. There will be opportunities for information sharing with other participants and for looking at different sections in smaller groups.
We are asking attendees to ‘Pay What You Feel’ to cover the costs of this event. We suggest £5-25 but it totally fine to pay less (or more!). Please pay an amount that you choose via Paypal to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once we have received a donation we will send you a link to register for the workshop with Zoom. If you don't use Paypal please get in touch with email@example.com to figure out another system!
To sign up please make your donation and sign up with Zoom by Monday 23rd November.
All proceeds will go towards the cost of delivering the workshop, with any surplus going to support the work of the UK Grain Lab and Transition Town Totnes.
Please share this invitation with others who you think might be interested in using the Toolkit.
