Caring Town Skillshare: Understanding & caring for people with Dementia

Topic: an opportunity to find out more about the causes and impacts of dementia, as well as how we can all help create more supportive environments for people living with dementia. Share your experiences and find out more about what is happening locally.

Led by: Mary Garvey, the Dementia Coordinator for Totnes Caring. Previously Mary worked as a director for the Alzheimer’s Society in London for nine years and has a diploma in Dementia Studies from the University of Bradford. Mary’s mother had Alzheimer’s disease.  She now co-ordinates the weekly Totnes memory cafe

Location: Caring Town Information Exchange, Ground Floor, The Mansion, 36A Fore Street, Totnes. Feel free to bring your own lunch - tea and coffee will be provided
