Liberating the Anima Mundi and Hearing the Warrior’s Call.
Ecological Dramatherapy Group for anybody experiencing difficult feelings around what is happening to the world and its beings.
Do you ever feel emotionally overwhelmed or emotionally numbed by the crises that you perceive the world to be in? Have you ever had symptoms or worried about depression, isolation or other difficult feelings as a result of your desire or commitment to help the world?
Do you feel that you could use some support?
Then you are invited to participate in a free Ecological Dramatherapy Group exploring these feelings within a safe, creative environment. This offering is part of an MA inquiry into dramatherapy as a creative response to perceived global crises and sessions will be held by Lia Ponton; a master’s student in Dramatherapy, as part of her MA dissertation project with the University of Worcester.
Ecological Dramatherapy is a creative therapy process that is informed by an awareness of the interconnection between the individual and the larger ecological and social realities of our time. Sessions will include drama and theatre-based therapeutic exercises, play and improvisation, collective rituals, being outside, art-making and sharing in a supportive atmosphere.
This group will consist of 4-8 participants, and will involve 8 free weekly 2-hour sessions in ecological dramatherapy beginning in February 2015. The dates are Thursdays from February 5th to March 26th, 10.00 - 12.00, in Cott.
Spaces are limited. For more information, please contact Lia at your earliest convenience at lia@liaponton.com or on 07570 759 997.
