Grown in Totnes is holding a series of events throughout May to promote oats, as part of our crowdfunding campaign.
Oat Cuisine is an evening celebration of local and seasonal food with a delicious four course meal.
- Haggis (or vegetarian haggis) with toasted porridge bread, poached egg and a beetroot glaze
- Oat risotto, with wild garlic pesto, leek and carrot velouté with a wild garlic garnish
- Rhubarb cranachan
- A selection of local cheeses, with chutney and oat biscuits!
- Coffee and teas
- Sharpham wine, New Lion Brewery beer (including our specially brewed black oat beer) and local soft drinks
Saturday May 9th, 7pm - 11pm at Totnes Masonic Hall.
Your ticket includes four courses and a bottle of our own black oat beer brewed specially by New Lion Brewery, with a bar for you to purchase beverages. Grown in Totnes' Holly Tiffen will give a short talk on the project and will be available to answer any questions.
