Join local producers in a celebration of delicious locally produced food and drink, for the third annual Forking Local Food Festival held on Vire Island, Totnes. We are showcasing some great local producers this year, from a 30-mile radius of Totnes, with a range of produce including cheese, cider, fruit and veg, and meat.
This years festival will include:
- Mad Hatter's tea party
- Live Music
- Food themed talks at theĀ 'Pluckers, Buskers and Speakers Corner'
- Arts and crafts
- Range of local hot food options
- Farmers' Market stalls.
Fringe events
This year we are hosting form Forking Local Food Festival fringe events, including a special performance of 3 Acres and a Cow: A History of Land Rights and Protect in FolkĀ Song and Story, on Saturday 1st September (6.30pm, Totnes United Free Church. Part TED talk, part history lecture, part folk club sing-a-long, part poetry slam, part stortelling session. Find out more here
We're also offering a special food tour of Totnes on the 22nd September - visiting and celebrating local food projects and history that shape the town and community. Meet at 10am at the Market Square and arrive at the foof festival in time for lunch! Visit the event page for more details
