Our Earth Stories project has been weaving its way through the lives of the Totnes Community and welcoming the stories of cat, mud, rat, flood, chicken, sea, stars, seal, hedgerow, mountain and fox carried within each of us... together we are forming a beautiful story web that is enlivening and nourishing all those it touches.
As well as continuing to collect your stories from the postbox in the library and via email, there have been workshops run by storyteller Elly Crichton-Stewart in local primary schools, and an Earth Stories performance by Tarte Noire Women's Playback Theatre Company. This was a magical evening, where people had the opportunity to share their stories and witness them being played back by actors. Everybody was buzzing about the performance and there was a sense that we could have gone on all night ... there were so many stories bursting to be told!
"I was blown away..." (audience member, Tarte Noire playback theatre performance)
