We are currently seeking two Trustees. These are unpaid positions which require a commitment of around 1/2 day per month.
Several years ago TTT became a charity; that allowed us to register as a formal organisation and to raise funds for which we are accountable to the Charity Commission. Since we did that, TTT has had a team of Trustees; one of the very first was Peter Redstone. Peter is standing down at the AGM and we all wish to thank him enormously for having helped us get firmly on our feet. Peter’s warm chairing, facilitation skills and wise judgement have been invaluable throughout and we will miss him enormously. Isabel Carlisle has been a Trustee for five years and has made a significant and generous contribution of her time (and her house!) - we will miss her greatly too.
That will leave us with four Trustees: Frances Northrop, Sally Croft, Charles Harrington and Carole Whitty. We meet once a month for two hours, and our main role is to oversee the finances and keep an overview of what is happening across TTT. We try to take care of the formal Charity Commission type stuff so that everyone else can get on with the projects. If that sounds a bit dull, it's not! Our meetings are really enjoyable and energising.
We will need more Trustees to take over from Isabel and Peter; if it sounds good to you and you think you can offer us your time and some expertise (we are particularly keen to find someone with experience in HR) please do talk to one of us to find out more. Ring Carole on 07966 298554 or email.
We would also welcome you to our AGM on Wednesday, March 16th at 6pm where you can find out more about us and meet the other Trustees. Trustees can be co-opted at any time during the year.
