"A bit like a BOGOF but with lunch thrown in"
To learn more about what is going on in and around Totnes in the world of REconomy, don't miss 'REconomics Totnes-style' on the 12th May. It is the day immediately before the Local Entrepreneur Forum, entry to which is included in the ticket price, and both days include lunch.
"Its a bit like a BOGOF (Buy One Get One Free) but with lunch thrown in," explains Hal Gillmore, who will be your guide and host for the day, along with Jay Tompt and other people involved in the REconomy Project. "There may be no such thing as a free lunch but we will have a good feed while exploring how food can be a great starting place for building a strong, local economy where you live. We will also cover other local economics projects such as the Totnes Pound, Local Economic Blueprint, the REconony Centre and the Local Entrepreneur Forum. Whether you are from Totnes and District and keen to learn more about the REconomy Project, or from elsewhere looking for ideas and inspiration, this day is for you."
"The day will be quite active and inter-active. We will be walking around town and having some interesting discussions over lunch and in the REconomy Centre. It designed for anyone of average physical ability but we will easily be able to accommodate anyone with special mobility needs. Just bring your bodies, an open mind, and some money for the bar (The New Lion Brewery is likely to make an appearance on the tour in some way)."
When: 12th May, 930-4pm, with a possible extra hour of networking and discussions for people interested in the national and international REconomy Network.
Ticket price is £70, which includes entry to the Local Entrepreneur Forum the day after and both events include lunch. Concessions are available. Any proceeds go to support the Totnes REconomy Project's work in raising economic literacy in the district.
