Transition Town Totnes in partnership with Schumacher College presents:
Public talk by Helena Norberg-Hodge, founder of the International Society for Ecology and Culture, on Monday July 22nd 8pm at Schumacher college, at the beginning of her course there on the 'Economics of Happiness'. A rare chance to hear her, as she is not often in the UK.
Helena Norberg-Hodge, Alternative Nobel Prize winner and pioneer of the worldwide localization movement, argues that today’s economic policies are supporting a global system that is fundamentally unstable and incapable of meeting the needs of people and the planet.
Her talk will highlight the inspiring psychological, social, and ecological benefits of economic localization, and the steps – at the community, national, and international levels – that can bring us there.
Helena teaches on the forthcoming course The Economics of Happiness – Localisation
