This event is a unique opportunity to make connections between radical ecopsychology and the Transition movement. As developed by Andy Fisher, radical ecopsychology is a radical transformation of psychology in light of an ecological view of reality. It is psychology for the transition to an ecological society. How, then, might the visions of radical ecopsychology and the Transition movement converge? How might they fruitfully inform one another in undertaking the historical work of building a more life-serving and resilient world?
For more than a decade, Andy Fisher has been the leading voice for developing ecopsychology as a radical field. A second edition of his acclaimed book Radical Ecopsychology: Psychology in the Service of Life was released in 2013.
Andy teaches with Joel Kovel on the forthcoming course Radical Ecopsychology – a new psychology for our times, July 22-August 2, 2013.
