Weaving Magic - creating and sustaining healthy groups in transition

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

We have recognised a need in TTT to better equip ourselves with the skills that help us work even more effectively (and enjoyably) in our groups and project teams. Therefore some Project Support & Transition Teams funding is being used to develop a new course called 'Weaving magic - creating and sustaining healthy groups in transition'.

This course will be open for anyone in TTT groups and projects and Transition Teams (and also potentially other local community groups). It aims to give us all the skills and understanding needed for things like successful team/group development, good group dynamics, running enjoyable and effective meetings, useful tools and techniques and faciliation skills.

It also addresses things like personal resilience, decision making, personality dynamics, the role of values, leadership, structure and so on. It will be available as a 'light' version perhaps 2 hours (aimed mainly at Transition Teams), and a full day version. We aim to run the first 1 day pilot course for the core groups and/or themegroups in early May.

We hope that the trainer will be funded so there will be no fee. It is being developed jointly with Transition Training (of the Transition Network) as this course will be very useful for all transition communities.
