Part of our Programme of Events, Spring 2010, Vandana Shiva spoke in the Methodist Church.  Vandana Shiva is an Indian physicist, philosopher, feminist and tireless environmental activist.  She explained the science of biotechnology (genetic engineering), and the dangers it poses to the world’s food supplies.  This was a joint event with Schumacher College.
