This is the second in a series of workshops to introduce and explore The Work that Reconnects, a process created by Joanna Macy and friends some three decades ago and shared since by many thousands of people around the world. It combines insights from systems theory, deep ecology, eastern philosophy, psychology and other sources to support a shift in our hearts and minds, individually and collectively, to promote a life-affirming society.

Pat Fleming lives on Dartmoor; she is a writer, researcher, business adviser and organic grower specialising in medicinal plants; she has worked with Joanna Macy over many years and co-wrote with her and others 'Thinking like a Mountain'. Toni Spencer is Course Leader for the Certificate in Education for Sustainability at Schumacher College and a facilitator at Embercombe. Both are trained Work-that-Reconnects facilitators.
