For each individual getting the work/life balance right in a campaigning movement is particularly challenging, we believe, because of the degree of commitment and investment it evokes in us. And the potential for disappointment, even disillusion, can increase as time goes on and more and more has been invested. So taking time for an 'MOT' and to look together at nourishing strategies, and to understand some of the dynamics that can tangle up our otherwise smooth functioning can be time well spent.
THIS IS WHAT THIS FACILITATED WORKSHOP WILL OFFER:
A space for you to examine individually and collectively...
- What causes you most stress in your work for TTT
- How you recognise the signs that you are under stress
- Survival skills and strategies: What your strategies are for dealing with stress. What else you might doto build on these and improve your resilience.
- Ways to change unhelpful thinking habits
- A review of the things you do to help you relax and find an outlet for frustrations.
- Monitoring your energy levels – knowing your own limits and what is sustainable for you.
As well as humour and fun.
A pilot version of this course is taking place on 11th March and 27th March. Click the links for more information. Anyone who gives time to TTT is welcome to attend - there is no charge.
The first session has now taken place, with 8 participants and was much appreciated by all. 2 people who did not attend last time will be coming to the second session. If you would like to do this, please call the office to discuss.
