To help avoid confusion, here is a glossary of terms that we use in TTT (in alphabetical order):

• Core Group - this is the main management and decision making body of TTT. A representative from each Theme Group sits on the Core Group, as do some project leaders and members of the Operations Team.
• Core Group Meeting - this is the monthly meeting of the Core Group where updates on groups and their projects are given, discussions are held and decisions about TTT overall are made. Minutes are produced and circulated to members of the Theme Groups.
• Group Coordinators - each Theme Group has one of these, this is the representative that attends the Core Group Meeting.
• Operations Team - this team runs the operations of TTT core i.e. the office, project support, central funding, administration etc.
• Sub Groups - e.g. Co-Housing or Eco-Construction are sub-groups of the Building & Housing Group
• Theme Group - e.g. Energy Group, Transport Group, Heart & Soul Group, Building & Housing Group.
• TTT Ltd - This legal entity is a not for profit company limited by guarantee, and we have also applied for charitable status. In keeping with a grass roots driven organisation, our strategic thinking and creative input is devolved down to the theme group, project and the core group levels. These are the people who are doing transition, and as such, will make the best decisions for TTT overall.
