An ambitious and ground-breaking plan by the TTT Building & Housing Group to develop 15-20 low carbon affordable homes on the edge of Totnes looks as if it could really take off. The idea is for energy efficient homes built with local materials, shared garden/allotments, on-site energy generation, minimal car use and possibly a forest garden.

Discussions with the land owner have been very positive and plans to set up a Community Land Trust are already underway.

Pam MacDonald, who leads the project group, said, "We need to produce a detailed proposal that covers all aspects of the development and we need help in a number of areas".
