Focussing on economics, livelihoods and waste issues, this workshop will build on the 2030 visions developed at last November's open workshops. Discussions will create imaginative pathways for building a low energy localised society with a low carbon footprint resilient to oil depletion and the credit crunch.
What new enterprises will support a low energy future?
Will we still be talking about waste in 2030?
How can buying green support a localised society?
How can we turn a profit on waste?
Please come and join us for this workshop if you are in business, a budding entrepreneur , running a B&B etc or are keen to turn around public attitudes to waste. With the credit crunch hitting many pockets, perhaps we need to rethink our economic model and consider how a more localised and prudent approach may bring more local prosperity, security and a financially resilient future.
Who should attend? Large and small business people, entrepreneurs, self-employed, service providers, economists, producers, recycling organizations, people passionate about reducing waste... This is for you.
Come along for some informal conversations about the future of our community. Find out about the Totnes & District, Energy Descent Action Plan 2030 being put together and have YOUR SAY. These workshops will be enjoyable and creative. All participants will have the opportunity to find out more about these important issues and get some tips on reducing energy.
